Our mission – to provide everyone in Edinburgh and the Lothians with access to quality greenspaces, which can help to improve their health & wellbeing

ELGT aims to re-connect people with their local greenspaces by encouraging everyone to visit and value them. We offer you the chance to take part in daily exercise, to de-stress and engage with nature while also helping to improve your overall health and wellbeing.

There are lots of opportunities to participate through the award winning Out & About programme and the Thrive Collective

There are lots of great parks and woodlands in Edinburgh and Lothians so why not visit some including the awarding winning Craigmillar Castle Park

You can also be kept up to date through our social media pages on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

If there is anything else you think we could do, or if you would like to discuss things further, then please do not hesitate to get in touch through our contact page.

Since 1991 we have been working to improve greenspaces for the benefit of people through practical environmental and educational projects in partnership with local communities and health-focused initiatives as a way to support more people getting outdoors. Our projects are designed to benefit people, wildlife, landscape and heritage and to help connect people with their natural environment.

By providing a comprehensive portfolio of environmental project development, management and fundraising services, we help ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy their natural environment.
