Greenspace improvement projects to NHS estate
The Thrive Edinburgh’s ‘Brown into Green’ project aims to transform places and spaces identified by health & social care staff across different settings into more nurturing environments to support staff wellbeing. Working in partnership with Cyrenians we have identified a number of sites across Edinburgh which include the following;
Access Place, Old Town
A shared garden space for staff and service users.
Castle Crags Home, Craigmillar
An outdoor seating area for staff.
Funded by: NHS Lothian, Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership
Outputs:
- Create Designs for each space
- Provide seating
- Install Planters and Trees
Outcomes:
- Improve the appearance of urban greenspaces
- Encourage people to use greenspaces to improve health and wellbeing
