Improving greenspaces that increase local food growing

Seven newly installed raised beds made from pale timber and filled with soil.

In partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council, ELGT are working to increase the growing capacity of allotments in locations across the city.

Baronscourt Allotments – Piershill

Seven new raised planters have been built in an area of the allotments that had previously suffered from poor drainage. The new plots are to be distributed to local people on the allotment waiting list.
