Keddie Gardens Play Park
Play area improvements to increase the use of local parks
ELGT in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council is upgrading the play area at Keddie Gardens in Leith.
The project, which is being funded by a £38,984 grant from FCC Communities Foundation will provide an inclusive trampoline and a lighthouse play unit.
ELGT worked to help transform and change the local perception of the play park by improving the equipment and accessibility which would in return increase the use of the local facility and improve the health and wellbeing of the local community. The physical works carried out on the playpark included the removal of some of the existing play equipment and the playing surface. It was replaced with a carpet safer surface and 8 new pieces of play equipment for both toddler and junior aged children.
