Biodiversity improvements

ELGT are working with the City of Edinburgh Council to improve 3 small parks in Leith as part of the wider Edinburgh Nature Network. It involves creating plans and designs for nature conservation, focusing on creating a neighbourhood of nature-rich parks in Leith. It aims to benefit both nature and the community by creating vibrant community spaces, incorporating art installations, promoting gardening activities and enhancing safety in parks. This holistic approach ensures that greenspaces are welcoming, safe, and enriching for all. Plans have been developed for each park, incorporating community feedback and ecological considerations.
There have been greenspace improvements which have included tree planting, new signage and seating
