George V Park Improvements
George V Park Improvements
Improved access to active travel routes and greenspaces

ELGT undertook a project to improve George V Park. This involved approximately 200m of path improvements as part of the NCN 75 route from the park to Leith. The work involved drainage improvements to help reduce flooding along with a new surface and painting of the path. There will also be 4 new trees planted to make the park greener.
These welcome improvements help create a safe and climate resilient route through George V Park, where all path users can walk, wheel and cycle with ease. This traffic-free section of the NCN 75 is a crucial link in central Edinburgh and will empower local people to enjoy the Park and use the National Cycle Network.
