Cramond Boardwalk

Cramond Boardwalk

Improved access and biodiversity of improvement coastal site

In early 2025 ELGT undertook a project to build a 110m boardwalk at Cramond which connected the promenade to the beach to reduce erosion of the SSSI coastal habitat. 200m2 of coastal planting will aim to improve the biodiversity through increased habitat creation. This will also improve access making it easier and safer for people to get to the beach.
