Fungi Foray

Autumn is the perfect time of year to explore your local woodland for fungi - once you start looking, it's amazing what you can find growing on rotting timber, on the woodland floor and don't forget to look up high for brackets clinging on to trees.

I won't attempt to assign names to photographs in case I get it wrong, but check out the web links to the right of this page for further information and see the species list on the right of this page.

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh also run a wonderful series of seminars and exhibitions on fungi
