£300,000 for new paths through Little France Park

Major path upgrades in Burdiehouse Burn Valley Park

2015 saw major path upgrades undertaken by ELGT in Burdiehouse Burn Valley Park. Some 600m of path were widened and tarmacked, making for a far-improved cycle connection between Gilmerton Dykes Street at the southern end and Gilmerton Dykes Crescent/Guardwell Glen at the northern end.

Fiveways Junction circular transformation

Phase one of the makeover of Fiveways Junction by Edinburgh & Lothians Greenspace Trust on the North Edinburgh path network  is finished – the stone circular walls, including a new home for Lopez the Lion, the Fiveways Feline.


Brunstane Burn path upgrade


Thanks to funding from both Sustrans and SEStrans through the Regional Cycle Network Grant Scheme the John Muir Path along the Brunstane Burn was turned from a muddy track to a tarmac path. This finishes off the route from Musselburgh to the Innocent Railway.
