Spylaw Park

August 2012 - We're working with the City of Edinburgh Council and the Colinton Amenity Association (CAA) to help consult the local community on plans to develop and improve Spylaw Park.

The local community feels that Spylaw Park lags behind many other local parks in Edinburgh as a public park, yet is the main central amenity space for the people of Colinton.

Issues raised by members of the community include poor access, especially for people with mobility problems and with pushchairs; overgrown areas and lack of amenities.  The CAA is promoting a Local Community Plan to develop and upgrade the park to meet the needs of local people and are consulting to see what the community feels are the priorities for the park.

The questionnaire below shows ideas which have already been suggested by members of the community and the CAA would welcome views on the relative priority to be given to these ideas, as well as other suggestions for improvements to the park.
