Dementia Woodland Activities

ELGT have been funded by the Forestry Commission Scotland and TESCO bags of help to bring together a Dementia Woodland Activity programme, promoting woodland activities and using the environment as a therapeutic tool for the person with dementia and their carer.   

The 12 week programme is for people who are at early stage diagnosis/onset and whose carer is interested in coming along too.  

The activity has been running at the Hermitage of Braid, by Blackford Hill.   

The programme would include a variety of woodland activities including, bushcraft, tree ID, woodland arts and crafts, bird watching, gentle walks.
