Temporary Greening

EDI’s subsidiary, PARC Craigmillar Ltd, which is the company responsible for the regeneration in Craigmilar, is working in partnership with ELGT and CEC to deliver this project which is being part-funded by the Central Scotland Green Network Trust’s Development Fund.

Members of the community, including local school children from Castleview Primary School, helped to plant a copse of hazel and willow trees on the site reserved for the future construction of a high school adjacent the Neighbourhood Office on Niddrie Mains Road. In total more than 250 trees have been planted and 5 “mini herb” gardens created within the new fruit trees containers.
