Greening Gracemount High School

Winter 2015-16 saw ELGT working at Gracemount High School running a programme of sessions to give pupils hands-on experience of their local environment, of outdoor gardening and a chance to create some new lasting and exciting features in their school grounds.

Bulbs have been planted, bird boxes made and installed, veg beds prepared and seeds planted. Christmas wreaths were made out of traditional greenery found locally, and parts of the school's grounds tidies up ready for growing on come the spring.

The highlight was the construction of a new living willow archway!
