Biodiversity for Communities
February 2011: Biodiversity for Communities is Back!
The Trust has just launched a second funding programme to help communities improve biodiversity and grow food in their local greenspace.
Please fill out the 2011 application form and send it back to us by 5pm on Monday 18th April 2011.
Guidance can also be found here, or you can email info@elgt.org.uk or ring 0131 445 4025 and speak to Katriona or Liz.
The ELGT 'Biodiversity for Communities' grants scheme is designed to help schools and small community groups improve biodiversity and grow food in their local greenspace. Whether you want to plant trees, wild flowers, fruit or vegetables, create a bog garden or encourage wildlife with boxes and feeders, we might be able to help.
We can award up to £100, help your group plan your project and assist with buying materials.
Your school or group just needs to:
- Be based in Edinburgh, Midlothian or East Lothian
- Have permission from whoever owns the land
- Be able to provide proof of purchase
- Have part of a school or constituted group and, ideally, have a bank account
- Match your ELGT grant with your own fundraising
