Over the past 15 years, we have raised over £7million to undertake over 350 projects. We have created and improved community woodlands, built hundreds of miles of paths and cycleways, created community gardens and delivered programmes of environmental workshops and greenspace trips to improve access to the environment and raise awareness of environmental issues. We have also undertaken heritage projects, such as the restoration of historic drystane walls, the restoration of Victorian viaducts and the Mavisbank House project.
In undertaking any projects, we work to achieve key outcomes and benefits
to the local community. We aim to:
• improve quality of life and mental & physical well-being through access to quality greenspace
•
raise awareness of environmental issues and of the benefits of greenspace
•
involve communities in their local environment
•
improve biodiversity and the natural heritage of urban greenspace
• improve accessibility to the quality greenspace on your doorstep.
