Want to know more about caring for trees in an established orchard?


Saturday 26th March, 10am - 4pm

This practical workshop is aimed at those who are currently involved in creating or managing a community orchard. Learn practically how to plant, prune, graft and look after trees, and network with other local food growing enthusiasts.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and will be delivered by John Hancox, Director of Commonwealth Orchard and Children’s Orchard, and Chair of Scottish Orchards. John is an expert in the development of community and school orchards, and other aspects of fruit growing including pruning, tree varieties, rootstocks suitable for Scotland and grafting. 

This Community Orchard Management Event is FREE!

But booking is essential, and priority will be given to those who are currently involved in a community orchard and/or planning to create one in the future.

Participants will be welcome to bring information about their projects or plans to share with others.
