Our mission – to provide everyone in Edinburgh and the Lothians with access to quality greenspaces, which can help to improve their health & wellbeing

Since 1991 we have been working to improve greenspaces for the benefit of people through practical environmental and educational projects in partnership with local communities and health-focused initiatives as a way to support more people getting outdoors. Our projects are designed to benefit people, wildlife, landscape and heritage and to help connect people with their natural environment.

By providing a comprehensive portfolio of environmental project development, management and fundraising services, we help ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy their natural environment.

On #WorldMentalHealthDay2019 be good to yourself and go for a #walk. Getting out for a #walk will make you feel better and will help both your mental and physical wellbeing #everydaywalking

Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay. In the UK, 3.9 million people aged 65 and over say the television is their main company. Creating places where it’s nice and safe to #walk, #cycle and be in can help address loneliness and social isolation.

For #WorldMentalHealthDay read about how #woods and #trees can help our #MentalHealth https://t.co/GDicsjhX57

Head over to our website to read the #StateofNature 2019 report.

The report was recently published by a partnership of more than 50 organisations, working together to provide an up to date assessment of the state of the UK’s wildlife across land and sea. https://t.co/k8cdh8JtWC

There has to be recognition that drivers use the roads through #holyroodpark at the expense of park users there to enjoy the park, relax, and breathe clean air. Not all usage is equivalent. https://t.co/154HqVTaxD

Don't be too tidy in the garden this autumn - you'll be doing your local wildlife a favour! For example, you could pile leaves up in a corner, to help hedgehogs find a home.

...obesity, inactivity, depression and loss of community has not “happened” to us; rather we legislated, subsidised, and planned it.

Insanity max interval training, full body workout with the young people thanks to @HulaHoneysUK in our S1 Health & Well-being Hub. They also looked at the effects alcohol has on their bodies and enjoyed some healthy paninis during tonight’s session. #active #HealthandWellbeing1
